Christmas 2009
After Jeff and I finally went to bed at 4:30 am Christmas morning due to a set of bad instructions to put Byron's electronic car together we then got up about 2 hours later for Christmas morning.Byron has been more involved in Christmas this year which has been heaps of fun. We have followed an advent calendar with activities, visited some Christmas lights, and we have even managed to say hello to Santa twice and had a photo with him twice. We opened some of the presents Xmas morning but we then had a mad rush to get everything together as this year it was my sisters turn to have Xmas lunch at Caloundra. We enjoyed an awesome lunch that was prepared by my sister and co and then vegged out in the air-conditioning and the pool all afternoon. We finally unwrapped more presents at about 8:30pm that night. We spent boxing day lazing around again and then the next day we all headed up to my Great Aunty Jo's (my step Grandma) house at Yarraman to wish her Merry Xmas and spend some time with her as we traditionally do but this year was a little different due to my Poppy passing away in February. We had another awesome lunch and then Jeff and I went for a visit to the cemetery to take some flowers and wish my Poppy a Happy Birthday for what would of been his 87th birthday on Xmas Eve and wished him a Merry Xmas. All in all we had a fantastic Xmas and ate way too much food. I have added some photos below of Christmas morning with the two cherubs. Hope everyone had a fantastic New years. Mel x.o
